Culinary experiences continue to be a priority for travelers, who increasingly seek out authentic local eats as a way to immerse themselves in the culture and lifestyle of the places they visit.

To help them on this journey, Eating Europe offers immersive food tours in major European cities such as Rome, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Lisbon, Prague, Berlin, Athens, Milan and more. As an added bonus, the company regularly works directly with travel advisors, offering commission on clients’ tours (there’s even a dedicated B2B portal with real-time inventory). Eating Europe can also work with agents on custom tours, as well as exclusive experiences for groups.

Our tours aren’t just about tasting food; they’re about understanding the story behind each dish and its cultural significance.

We recently chatted with Kenny Dunn, the company’s founder, to learn more about the Eating Europe experience.

What should we know about Eating Europe? And what can travelers expect on your tours?

Since 2011, Eating Europe has tasted the best of Europe with more than 400,000 guests. Celebrated by The New York Times, Lonely Planet and Rick Steves, we are recognized leaders in the food tour industry. Our journey began in Rome, and has since expanded to more than 35 food tours in eight countries and 14 cities. Always evolving, we continually refresh our offerings to showcase Europe’s hidden culinary gems and top-notch eateries. Each tour is a blend of cultural exploration, historical insights and, of course, mouthwatering local cuisine.

What differentiates your product from other food tours?

What makes Eating Europe stand out is our commitment to authenticity. We focus on genuine local experiences. Our tours aren’t just about tasting food; they’re about understanding the story behind each dish and its cultural significance. This depth of experience is something we pride ourselves on. Plus, on each tour, we take our guests to places where only we can go, thanks to the relationships we have built over the years with our partners.

Who are your guides, and how do they elevate the experience?

Our guides are not just tour leaders; they are storytellers and local enthusiasts with a deep passion for their city’s food culture. They bring personal anecdotes, historical knowledge and a friendly approach that turn each tour into a unique experience. Their insights offer a more intimate look at local lifestyle and culinary traditions.

Our clients are looking for authenticity, and are eager to understand the places they visit beyond the surface level.

Travelers are increasingly interested in deeper exploration — do you see that among your clients?

We’ve noticed a growing desire for more meaningful travel experiences. Our clients are looking for authenticity, and are eager to understand the places they visit beyond the surface level. It’s not just about food; it’s about cultural immersion, connecting with locals, understanding [a place’s] history and seeing a side of the city that many tourists miss. Our tours aim to satisfy this hunger for deeper exploration. We want our clients to feel like they’ve seen the true spirit of the destination, not just the postcard version.

How do you work with travel advisors?

We value our partnerships with travel advisors. We provide them with detailed information about our tours, ensuring they can match clients with experiences that suit their interests. We offer advisors the tools they need to feel confident in recommending our tours, knowing their clients will receive a truly exceptional and personalized culinary experience.
